Only 30 minutes away from Arashiyama’s bamboo forest is the Buddhist temple, Otagi Nenbutsu-ji. Dotted all around the site are rakan statues known as Buddha’s followers. There are 1200 of them with no two alike. It’s said they possess supernatural powers. 📍Take a day trip to the temple and see it for yourself!
