Capcom has announced a rather unique collaboration in Japan that will see one of its biggest franchises being used to fight the war on drugs.
Capcom is teaming up with the Osaka Prefectural Police in Japan for an anti-drug campaign, and Resident Evil Requiem is front-and-center for the collaboration. Osaka Police are releasing 3,800 limited edition clear files that feature both Resident Evil Requiem and Resident Evil 2 Remake, and these will be distributed through various anti-drug talks and events.
To kick off the collaboration, the Osaka Police held an event with a Grace Ashcroft cosplayer, who you can see above. If you’re struggling to see how Resident Evil Requiem ties into an anti-drug campaign, it seems the goal is to show that the characters in Requiem remain calm under pressure and use sound judgment to make decisions that ensure their safety in the future.
