I directed this MV myself.
We filmed in Shibuya and in a rapeseed field in Saitama, trying to capture two very different atmospheres.
The book in the video was also printed and bound by hand.
Lately, it feels like the meaning of โalternativeโ has become a bit vague in Japan.
A lot of female-fronted guitar bands get labeled as shoegaze, often tied to certain aesthetics or nostalgia-driven visuals.
But our roots actually come from very different places โ math rock, melodic Japanese music, and influences outside the usual scene.
Even the vocal melodies are inspired more by older Heisei-era anime songs than current trends.
For us, โalternativeโ means mixing things we genuinely love, even if they donโt neatly fit together.
Trends matter, of course โ but we still want to fully commit to the kind of expression we believe in.
Really curious how this comes across outside Japan.

I really love the style, the vocals are also nice to listen to. I’ll be putting it on my playlist because it’s much better than I thought it’ll be.
The track really gave me a feeling of nostalgia, and I appreciate that a lot.
