Looking for Hacksaw Ridge near Naha, Okinawa

The Maeda Escarpment, also known as Hacksaw Ridge, is a historic site in Urasoe, Okinawa, Japan, that was the scene of a brutal battle during the Battle of Okinawa in World War II Today, it is a peaceful park with remnants of wartime fortifications that serve as a solemn memorial to the battle. The site is also notable for the actions of Corporal Desmond T. Doss, a conscientious objector who single-handedly rescued dozens of wounded soldiers during the fighting.

Most taxi drivers here speak little English. That is why he dropped me off near the place, and I had to walk. I found out later that he may have been dishonest since going back to my hotel costs a bit less.
