This 4K Kyoto walking tour takes you through Kyoto, Japan during peak cherry blossom season (sakura season), one of the busiest but most beautiful times of the year. Filmed in real time this immersive Kyoto city walk captures historic streets, temples, and the intense atmosphere of cherry blossom crowds.

I start at Yasaka Koshindo Temple and walk through Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka, some of Kyoto’s most famous traditional streets. During sakura season, it’s extremely crowded — I can barely move, with people packed tightly along the narrow paths.

On the way to Kiyomizu-dera, the crowds get even heavier, but the first view of the temple is worth it. After exploring the area, I pass beautiful cherry blossom spots before heading down again through the packed streets.

The walk continues along Higashioji Street, past stunning sakura trees, into Gion District and Hanamikoji Street, before reaching Downtown Kyoto on Shijo Street and finishing at Yasaka Shrine.
