The automaker’s Japanese subsidiary released the 2026 Cadillac CT5 in the Asian country’s domestic market, introducing the refreshed variant of GM’s flagship luxury brand’s midsize sedan for the first time there. The 2026 CT5 is now available at Cadillac dealerships, complementing the lineup of utility vehicles led by the ICE Cadillac Escalade ICE and the Cadillac Lyriq EV crossover.

“General Motors will begin selling the new Cadillac CT5, a luxury sports sedan that combines brand’s proud next-generation design philosophy, at authorized Cadillac dealerships nationwide starting April 9, 2026,” said GM Japan. “The Cadillac CT5 was introduced to the Japanese market in 2021 as Cadillac’s mid-size luxury sedan. Now, an improved and more refined new Cadillac CT5 is coming,” the company added.

In particular, the refreshed 2026 Cadillac CT5 is launching in the Japanese market with the Sport trim level as the only one available. In addition to debuting an updated front-end design and a state-of-the-art interior, the 2026 CT5 Sport for Japan comes standard with the latest safety features and advanced driver-assistance systems offered on the nameplate.

Mechanically, the 2026 Cadillac CT5 continues to be equipped with the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY engine that generates 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, paired with GM’s 10-speed automatic transmission. All 2026 CT5 units arriving in Japan are equipped with the all-wheel drivetrain that enhances the agile and sporty driving experience characteristic of the model.

The refreshed 2026 Cadillac CT5 is now available for sale at official Cadillac dealerships in Japan, where it arrives in left-hand drive configuration, with units imported from the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. As such, the 2026 CT5 will continue to play a niche, low-volume role focused on loyal Cadillac customers looking for a sporty sedan. Here is the price of the only version of the vehicle available in the Japanese market:
