There’s More to Japan Than Tokyo @mattjphipps

This is the Japan I didn’t know existed, that I’m so grateful I got to experience with my own eyes.

I wasn’t aware of Miyajima island (not to be confused with the British tv and radio host, Maya Jama) before coming to Japan.

It was honestly breathtaking. The scenery, the spiritual and cultural sites and the food were incredible.

I even got to drink water boiled by a 1,200 year old fire.

Intrepid put so much thought and effort into planning their itineraries, and this day trip to Miyajima Island, a short ferry away from Hiroshima, was a perfect example of that.
