Nice room but feel the steps are a hazard as no edge marker in the dark you could fall over ๐ข

Thank you for straightening the mat when you first got in your room ๐ so satisfying
For $3k for one single night EVERYTHING should be included. Dinner, unlimited drinks, etc. While a nice hotel nothing about it justifies that price. You can go stay for a week for two people in many parts of the world on a beautiful beach with everything included for that price in a hotel room that is just as nice. And you're not in the middle of a smog filled metropolis you're on a beautiful beach.
It did look very relaxed other than the staff watching you eat ๐ฎ
I considered booking here on our recent trip to Tokyo. We stayed at four seasons otemachi instead which was amazing. I was a bit underwhelmed by this hotel actually. It felt a bit clinical almost.
One of the most luxurious yes but definitely not the most expensive lol
Hello๐ฆ
๐๐๐ the shower review makes me and my husband laugh every time! Thanks Tim ๐๐
Could you do a tour of the top suite at Janu Tokyo next time..? It's the sister brand of Aman.
As they are a newly built one, their signature suite is even bigger than Aman Tokyo's top suite, despite positioning themself at a slightly cheaper option.
Most hotel tour videos on Youtube only showing a Corner Suite.
Personally, I think this is the best hotel youโve ever stayed in.
This place leaves me cold. So clinical. Hard lines. Bland. And I hated that sushi restaurant experience being watched like a hawk!!! Not for me
Fantastic ! … that was like watching Lost in Translation, on Acid.
For me, it's too many sharp corners ๐ pool area, so cold and not cozy
Wow that room and the whole hotel is screaming for more plants and natural greenery
Its very angular and stark
My second comment is I would love to go to Japan but that hotel is a no no for me its like a cold war bunker
Tim, quite a stomach u had there,
I hope that waiter's manager sees this video and corrects his extremely rude service.
Ghastly place. Restaurant staff need retraining, standing around watching someone eat is unacceptable xx
Ever stayed in a haunted hotel
Maybe a stupid question, but have you been to Australia yet? Very pleasing Hotel ๐. Is it off season in Tokyo or why so empty?
I like clean lines but I also like a little colour and comfort. This is way too angular brown and clinical. I don't eat seafood so the menu sounds hideous. It's a no from me
I wonder if the cancellation of all of the Chinese bookings is a factor in why it's so quiet. I imagine that China is a major source of the guests who can afford this.
The first time I went to Tokyo about 40 years ago, I stayed in the Palace Hotel. It may not have been as expensive as the Aman, but the views across the Imperial Palace grounds were fantastic. Japan is a place I would happily live.
While some folks seem to find this place relaxing, I felt a vague sense of uneasiness, mainly because most of the areas you showed us were almost empty of people. It felt a little like I was watching a liminal space video. Still I enjoyed your video, as usual.
Aman Tokyo is definitely a bucket list hotel for me! Jealous!
