I’m Japanese living in Kyoto and I’m sharing some useful tips for first-timers.

Planning and actual knowledge is very, very important for Japan. Its a distillation of over 2500 years of a view and way of life evolving and is not the west. I experienced a lot of lifetime memories from my last visit to Kyoto in November, but I was there from a genuine interest and after reading a lot. I absolutely agree about the buses, leave them for the locals and tune into how the Japanese use shared public spaces whether you choose bus, subway, of walking.
I just got back from my first trip there. I really liked how mostly everything was clean and orderly. I just wish I was able to communicate better with the local people.
Subbed! Very nicely made Video. I have booked my trip for Japan this April. I am staying 3 nights in Kyoto. I am debating whether i should do a day trip to Osaka for the Castle or just roam around in Kyoto. Any suggestions ?

Planning to travel to Kyoto and Osaka near winter. Any advice for a 6day stay in Kyoto? Plan to walk a lot 😊
