Sapporo in Winter 🇯🇵 The Japanese City Buried in Snow

Sapporo in winter is unlike any other city in Japan. Known for its incredible snowfall, Sapporo transforms into a true winter wonderland where streets, parks, and buildings are completely covered in snow. In this video, I explore Sapporo, the largest city in Hokkaido, to experience what winter life in Northern Japan really looks like.

This is also the first video from my Northern Japan series, where I’ll be exploring more destinations across Hokkaido. Sapporo is often overlooked by many travellers planning a Japan trip, but it’s actually one of the best winter destinations in the country and a perfect base to explore the northern part of Japan.

Starting from outside my hotel, I walk through the snowy streets of Sapporo to explore some of the most iconic places in the city and see how this famous winter city looks during peak snowfall.

Places covered in this video:

* Odori Park
* Sapporo TV Tower
* Sapporo Underground Market
* Susukino District
* Tanukikoji Shopping Street
* Shelter Cafe

If you’re planning a Japan trip in winter, Sapporo should definitely be on your itinerary. With heavy snowfall, vibrant city life, amazing food, and easy access to other destinations across Hokkaido, this city offers a completely different side of Japan that many travelers miss.

This video is perfect for:

* Indians planning a Japan trip
* Winter travel lovers
* Travelers looking for hidden gems in Japan
