Nogizaka46 — “Never say never”: With the WBC going on right now, here’s a baseball song where the fans aren’t giving strength — they’re receiving it.

With the WBC happening right now, thought I'd share a track that fits the mood perfectly.

So Nogizaka46 has this unofficial unit called the Nogizaka Baseball Club — made up of members who genuinely love baseball.

It was started by two 3rd gen members who've since graduated, and now it's carried on by members from 4th, 5th, and 6th gen. They even got involved in the WBC promotional campaign, which is pretty cool.

This track is their unit song from the 32nd single, and honestly there's one line that just hits different:

"Even if you lose a hundred million times, I'll never stop cheering for you — because your sweat and tears, all that effort, gave me the courage to keep going too."

What got me is that it's not saying "I'll give you strength." It's the opposite — the players fighting out there are the ones giving courage to the fans cheering them on.
