Sesame Street Fun World is saying “sayonara” to Universal Studios Japan. The theme park announced the land will permanently close on May 10th.
The section opened in 2012, featuring kiddie-focused rides, activities, and stage shows. But the news isn’t all bad, as Sesame isn’t leaving the park entirely. The characters will still hang around for meet and greets and parades, and Sesame Street 4-D Movie Magic, though currently inactive, is expected to return to the park in the future.

And because theme parks like love a good party, they’re sending off the land in style, with a “Forever Friends” event beginning March 20th and running until the closure. As reported by WDW News Today, guests can receive a “memory snapshot card” to use at photo ops in certain locations.

Beginning April 11th, guests can also share their memories on a pair of commemorative “Treasure Boards.”
