NEC CEO Morita appointed chair of 30% Club Japan

The Japan chapter of the 30% Club has appointed NEC president and CEO Takayuki Morita as chair for its third operating term, running from May 2026 to April 2028. The organisation said the new leadership will focus on accelerating progress towards its target of achieving at least 30 percent female representation on the boards of TOPIX 100 companies by around 2030. As an interim milestone, the group has set a goal for companies participating in the TOPIX Presidents’ Council to reach at least 30 percent female
