Road trip through AOMORI Japan – Fantastic Nature at Oirase Stream – DAY 10!

Traveling across all the prefectures in Tohoku, Japan in the TINIEST campervan!

For two full weeks, I explored Tohoku, Japan, in a little campervan! The mini car was my home on wheels as I traveled off the beaten path, visiting incredible scenic spots, local roadside stations, and bubbling onsen baths.

Day 10 brought me to the mountains of Aomori prefecture, where I walked the stunning nature trail along the Oirase stream. Afterwards, I enjoyed a meal by Lake Towada, and spent the night by the waters at Utarube Campground. Fall is a wonderful time to visit this area!

Join me on this incredible Japan road trip!

  1. Loved the whole hike! The path next to the stream (river) is really stunning; especially with that clear flowing water. Amazing slow shutter shots! Nice touch on the video with the falling (and fallen) leaves. Good to know that even this late in the winter season, the beauty of fall colors still exists. Thanks for this wonderful experience, Marisa.

  2. What a gorgeous place to explore! And those slow shutter shots of the stream look stunning 😀
