From the new projection mapping show to the opening of PokéPark Kanto theme park, Pokémon fans in Tokyo are being well fed with Pokémon’s 30th anniversary festivities.
The latest surprise — Ditto is taking over the Hanzomon train line for a very limited-time collaboration.

Why The Hanzomon Line?
The partnership combines Ditto’s Japanese name, Metamon, with Tokyo Metro’s Hanzomon Line, a punny take on the pocket monsters’ nickname. The Hanzomon Line also uses a purple train palette, perfectly complementing the metamorphing Pokémon.
From March 2 to March 15, fans will be greeted by Ditto adding a bit of extra whimsy to their train commutes with special decorations adorning both the train cars and select station platforms.
The campaign will extend into two entire trains within the Hanzomon Line. This is the first time that an entire train has been reserved for a campaign event.
Coinciding with the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 game “Pokémon Pokopia,” a new life simulation game where players interact with the charming village as a humanoid Ditto, the Pokémon is similarly covering all Hanzomon ads and replacing them with his characteristic derpy expression. The Switch 2 game will be released on March 2 in Japan, and March 5 worldwide.

Where To Find Ditto
Along with the in-car decorations, Ditto will also be making an appearance at select Hanzomon Line stops until March 8. Fans can catch him on the platforms and train concourses at:
Oshiage Skytree-Mae Station
Hanzomon Station
Shibuya Station
Look out for Ditto covering the walls with his signature purple and secretly blending in with the Hanzomon Line logo.
