Meeting a Legend: Giant Dinosaurs, Snowy Owls & A Fairytale Cafe | Kitakyushu Road Trip

[Intro] Sometimes, the best travel moments are the ones you don’t plan. On our latest road trip to Kitakyushu, we were incredibly honored to meet one of the founding members of the Kitakyushu Museum of Natural History and Human History. Hearing the stories behind these ancient, real-life fossils from someone who helped bring them to light made this journey unforgettable.

[The Journey] Before the museum, we found a hidden gem of a cafe where we shared a meal with two beautiful white owls. We then drove across the iconic red Wakato Bridge—a Kitakyushu landmark—to find a dessert shop that feels like a fairytale. We ended our day under the bridge, watching the sunset paint the sky over the industrial heart of Kyushu.
