Deep Snow Japan Day Trip 🇯🇵 | Tokyo to Togakushi Shrine, Nagano by Hokuriku Shinkansen & Bus
Discover a hidden side of winter Japan on this unforgettable day trip from Tokyo to Nagano.
In this video, I travel from Tokyo to Nagano aboard the high-speed Hokuriku Shinkansen, then continue by local bus into the mountains to reach the snow-covered Togakushi Shrine — one of Japan’s most sacred and atmospheric shrine areas.
I explore the Chusha Shrine area, walking through deep snow and quiet forest paths. The heavy snowfall, silence, and spiritual atmosphere offer a completely different experience from Tokyo and other major tourist cities.
After the shrine walk, I visit the legendary soba restaurant Uzuraya, famous among locals and travelers alike. I enjoy authentic Togakushi soba noodles with tempura, a must-try regional food in Nagano — all shown in real time.
