Pokémon Co. has made an announcement concerning Pokémon Café Tokyo, one of the many café locations the company has installed throughout Japan. If you were planning on visiting this location in the near future, we’ve got some bad news for you.
Pokémon Co. has revealed that Pokémon Café Tokyo is about to undergo some considerable renovations, and that unfortunately means the location will have to close down for a short amount of time. As of right now, the plan is to close down the location on March 23rd, 2026, with renovations expected to be wrapped sometime in late June 2026.
Pokémon Co. does note that renovations could end up taking longer, and they’ll keep everyone informed as the project moves along. Hopefully everything goes smoothly and Pokémon Café Tokyo can open it’s doors once again just in time for the summer season.
