DAVAO TEACHERS TO VISIT JAPAN
The Japan Foundation is offering an exciting opportunity for high school Social Studies teachers in the Davao Region through its FY2026 ASEAN–Japan Exchange Program for Secondary School Educators.
Selected teachers will explore Japan’s educational system, experience Japanese culture firsthand, and connect with professionals in the education sector. Consul General Ono Hirotaka and Ben Suzuki of the Japan Foundation Manila shared program details with Regional Director Allan G. Farnazo.
A total of 10 teachers and 3 school heads will be chosen through a screening process. Applicants must be committed to sharing their experiences about Japan in their schools. Preference will be given to teachers of Nikkei-jin descent or those passionate about promoting Japanese culture.
The program includes a week-long visit to Japan in June 2026.
