Trying Tokyo’s BEST Street Food Croquettes on the Longest Shopping Street

Today we’re hunting down one of Japan’s most underrated street foods… croquettes (korokke)!
We’re visiting Togoshi Ginza Shotengai, the longest shopping street in Tokyo, to try seven different Japanese croquettes from local shops along the street. From classic potato korokke to creamy crab, curry, and other unique flavors, each shop has its own style – crispy on the outside, soft and savory inside.

Three Shotengais (shopping streets) in Tokyo you should check out!

  1. Mmmmm! Crispy/crunchy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside–there's no better snack than a korokke, imo. I make a vegetarian version which I bake or pan fry (because I'm weird about deep frying at home 😅). Delicious! Thank you, guys, for this interesting cavalcade of croquettes. 💙💙

  2. You would love it in Amsterdam or some other Dutch city.
They have this food selling machines, where you can get croquettes, breaded fried cheese, chicken burger, frikandel, fries, and more unhealthy yummy things from the deep fryer. 🙂
