Optage opens Osaka data centre to shift network traffic to Kansai

Japanese fibre operator Optage has begun operations at a new urban connectivity data centre in central Osaka, aiming to redistribute domestic network traffic away from the Tokyo metropolitan area and strengthen national business continuity. The Optage Sonezaki Data Centre (OC1) is positioned as a carrier-neutral facility with high external connectivity to major domestic internet exchanges, network operators and internet service providers.
