When our bus pulled up to Shimoyoshida station, the driver just parked it up in the midde of the road to let everyone off, then 2 more buses did the same thing. Local cop was NOT happy; shouting in English (for some reason) over the PA system "YOU CANNOT PARK BUS, MOVE NOW"… nice view from the park though, had to grab an America-dog on the way down 🙂
You forgot the most common Mt. Fuji trip everyone does, booking the right window seat on the shinkansen and taking a Foto from the train.
I went to fifth station twenty years ago. Then I climbed Fuji in one hour. True story.
