If you’re visiting Fukuoka and craving familiar comfort food, Morris’ Hippo Pub is a reliable stop. Apparently it’s a long-running British pub with a few locations around town known for tasty fish and chips, pies, and other classic pub dishes that are hard to find done well in Japan.
It was very casual and welcoming, even if it wasn’t super clear how to order when I first arrived (which I think was on me). If you’re visiting Fukuoka and want a break from Japanese food, this was definitely a tasty option.

As a Brit gotta say one thing…those ain't chips those are fries. Chips are a lot thicker and hand cut and somehow fluffier than a french fries but the fish is pretty good and that crunchy very nice I rate this fish and "chips" 6 outta 10
