In addition, the Municipal Corporation has declared the area around Atal Sarovar as a Smart City, and therefore, a new bus station will also be constructed there.
Along with this, during the Vibrant Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called the triangle of Rajkot, Morbi, and Jamnagar a mini Japan, and therefore, it has been announced to start special ST buses to provide transportation facilities to industrial workers.
Currently, the Rajkot ST division operates about 525 buses. Former ST Divisional Director Himanshu Joshi stated that there is a plan to start direct buses for the Statue of Unity and other religious places. The Government of India has granted AIIMS Hospital to Rajkot, the only city in Gujarat, and a proposal has been submitted to build a new bus station there. Furthermore, the state’s international airport is located in Rajkot, and a new bus station will also be constructed there in the near future.

Additionally, the Rajkot Municipal Corporation has declared the area around Atal Sarovar as a Smart City, and the ST department has identified a location there to build a new bus station. Once the new bus station is built there in the near future, it will be easier for people to travel by ST bus.
Furthermore, just as the groundbreaking ceremony for workshops was performed at Limbdi and Morbi, a tire plant will now be inaugurated. This will develop the technology of ST buses.
