It’s time to take on a new challenge! This time we are heading to Japan for winter & snow and to go skiing for the very first time! We found flights from the UK (Manchester Airport) to Japan for just three hundred pounds per person. Somehow, it was actually cheaper to fly all the way to Tokyo than it was to stop halfway. There’s no direct route, a long overnight journey, and a connection through China, and we’re flying with an airline we’ve never tried before, Hainan Airlines. On paper, this journey takes almost a full day, and we have no idea what the comfort, the food, or the experience is going to be like. So the question is simple: Is saving this much money actually worth it, or is this where budget travel finally goes too far?

  1. I haven’t watched this yet I’m about to , how weird is this and 100 per cent true . I was on there website this morning about direct flights to Beijing from Manchester lol now I’ll see for myself

  2. Hello, I love the video. I'm considering a similar flight. How long did the transit procedure last? I guess you had to scan you carry on bags and stuff?

  3. Always a fun video, guys! Always very informative and fun, but I got a chuckle from your mics on your dessert bowls. Very resourceful! 😂 safe travels!

  4. Tack för att ni visade hur Hainan air är. Jag tänkte flyga med dom från Bangkok till stockholm. det såg riktigt bra ut.

  5. We love watching you two! Your joy and enthusiasm are infectious. Thanks for taking us along for the ride! From Montana, USA with much love!

  6. Great video. Have you ever noticed amenity kits always include a toothbrush and toothpaste? How many passengers actually travel without their own toothpaste and brush? Can't wait for your forthcoming videos.

  7. I checked google flights and I noticed that all Hainan flights on this route have a 26 hrs layover in Beijing (PEK)
Which make things more complicated ?? I think you had a unique flight ?

  8. Enjoy your channel – I think you guys were more genuine for this filming. In other episodes your reactions to various encounters seem exagerated

  9. Thanks for the reporting! So glad that Delta ordered more Airbus jets! I don’t understand the 787 order but hey, mixed manufacturers is an option.

  10. HI Adrianna and Dylon. I see you must have taken time off from your Texas trip if your flying out of the UK. Is there not a policy in place like the USA and Canada saying if you mis your connection due to the flight, they must put you on the next available flight, even if that means putting you up in a Hotel for 1 night nearby??? I love Dylons name for the airline. After thinking, I have heard of this airline before. You both seem so excited to be boarding this empty flight. I am shocked to say dinner looks good,. I would have tried that beef like Dylon. Good morning from Beijing at 3am. Such an easy connection and congrats you both made it. Congrats on my absolute favorite place in the world Japan. Absolutely Loved Every Second // Absolutely Awesome From Start To Finish

  11. We took a budget tour of China from the USA a few years ago and they put us on Hainan (Southsea) Airlines. We had a good experience. It is subsidized for the Chinese government, which is why they can afford to fly you so cheap. At the present time they have only two routes from the USA….Boston and Seattle and not everyday of the week….

  12. I'm glad you enjoyed Hainan. I was a pilot for several years in mainland China for one of their subsidiary airlines. Now you'll have to go and visit where they are headquartered, Hainan Island. The Hawaii of China is really nice and very affordable. Check out Sanya.

  13. Whenever I travel/fly I always bring a reusable water bottle an insulated tumbler/cup for hot beverages and snacks from home. I fill my water bottle once I pass security and I will ask for hot water to make, instant coffee, teas and soups. I never purchase anything from the airport. If by chance I need toiletries I wait till I'm at my destination and purchase at one of their local grocery stores.

  14. If flying from the USA west coast I see cheap deals going to japan non stop from LAX, SFO, SJC and SEA for around $400 us or less one way depending on airline. These are some US airlines and some Japanese. I suggest Japanese airlines on this route to Tokyo Haneda or Narita

  15. Overall, the price of the flight, food, comfort, etc. is better than an Air Canada flight from Vancouver to Asia.

  16. Hainan Airlines has a generally good safety record, being certified as a 5-Star Airline for its quality of service and safety standards. While there have been some incidents, it has not experienced any fatal accidents in recent years, indicating a strong commitment to safety.

  17. First of I loved your videos, but when you spoke about the Norse flight to the USA 🇺🇸 you would of none when going on line to book your tickets that you can pay and pre order food but it’s not included in your tick ✔️
