📍 About Senganmon (千貫門)

Senganmon is a massive natural rock gate formed by powerful waves over thousands of years.
Its name means “Gate Worth a Thousand Kan”, referring to the incredible weight and scale of the rock arch.

Located on the western coast of the Izu Peninsula, Senganmon is part of the Izu Geopark, a UNESCO Global Geopark known for its dramatic coastal geology shaped by volcanic activity and the sea.

Unlike crowded tourist spots, this area remains quiet and untouched, allowing visitors to experience the raw beauty of Japan’s coastline at a slow and peaceful pace.
