We spent 4 days exploring Sendai and honestly, it’s such an underrated part of Japan. From the quiet, historic atmosphere of Zuihoji Temple to hunting down the best local gyutan and finding some really peaceful hidden cafes, this city has a vibe we weren’t expecting. We even made it out to Matsushima Bay for those iconic views. If you’re looking to head north to Miyagi, these were our favorite highlights from the trip!
