Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team and Honda have officially marked the beginning of their new works partnership at a launch event in Tokyo, where Honda unveiled its 2026 Formula 1 power unit, the RA626H, developed exclusively for Aston Martin.

The Tokyo event highlighted the scale of the collaboration as Formula 1 prepares for a new technical era in 2026, with power units split evenly between electrical energy and internal combustion. After several seasons supplying Red Bull, Honda now turns its full attention to Aston Martin as part of a long-term factory partnership.

Aston Martin CEO Lawrence Stroll underlined the importance of the alliance, describing it as a defining moment for the team.

“I am delighted to celebrate the start of our partnership with Honda here in Tokyo today. Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team and Honda share many values, and those values have brought us together for 2026 and beyond,” said Stroll.
