  1. During this winter season (from around January 7 to late April), entry beyond the Zuishinmon Gate is prohibited⚠
This is due to the risk of avalanches and an increase in poorly behaved tourists….

When I visited, I actually saw some visitors sledding in the area🥲
Because everything is covered in snow, it can be hard to tell, but the approach to Okusha is not a park. Everything beyond the torii gate is part of the shrine grounds⛩

Please keep this in mind and be respectful when you visit🙇‍♀

  2. Another lovely episode. One of my dreams is to go to Nagano. You are a very good youtuber Mikichan. A very well edited video as always.❤ Thank you for showing Togakushi. Lovely area❤

  3. This brought back good memories for me. I loved exploring the paths around Togakushi in late autumn.
It's a pity access is restricted in some areas, but I'd still like to visit again when there is deep snow.

  4. Togakushi Shrine is wonderful, isn't it? That solemn atmosphere makes me want to go back again.

  5. Perfect timing. I'm currently sitting at the airport on my way to Japan and plan to travel to Nagano immediately. One day is planned for skiing. And I have one day available. Either I'll take your tour or travel to Matsumoto.

  6. Another great video, thanks! I've been here and it was very icy, but I made it to the last shrine. I had hot soba and tempura afterwards. A pretty magical place.

  7. Hey Miki! Me and my mates went to Nagano last winter and decided to visit the Togakushi shrines after watching your 2022 video. It was an absolutely beautiful yet tiring hike, with the route completely full of snow! It took us 6 hours of walking and admiring the scenario to get from the first shrine to the upper shrine, then back to the bus stop. We all fell asleep on the ride back to Nagano Station, socks wet, legs weak. Such a shame they closed off the route due to snow this year, but it's true that the hike to the upper shrine was rather complicated so no surprises here… (slipped too many times!) Thanks for sharing these amazing gems to us.

  8. I love her accent. Her personality is like my aunt so it's like seeing a Japanese version of my aunt. haha.

  9. The trees look so beautiful in winter😮 that cafe is so cozy and the tart looked so good! 🤤 Thank you Miki 🙂👏👏👏

  10. Hello Miki-san! Thank you for sharing this video. I am planning a trip to Nagano and would like to visit Togakushi Shrine. May I ask if there is a Bus that stops at all the Shrines? Thank you so much!
