Most teppanyaki courses in Japan serve around 80 to 120 grams of steak.
Mahoroba serves 250 grams — tenderloin only, grilled right in front of you by Chef Nakashima, originally from Kagoshima and trained in classic teppan technique.
For beef lovers, this course hits differently.

Before the steak, the menu moves through a series of small, thoughtful dishes designed to open your palate:

• Hokkaido acacia honey
• House-made Mahoroba baguette with Awaji cheese, toasted on the teppan
• Beef tongue stew with mushrooms and pumpkin

Then comes the highlight — 250g of Wagyu tenderloin from Kumamoto, recommended directly by their butcher.
A clean, pure expression of Wagyu: lightly seasoned, grilled with precision, and served with rice, miso soup, and simple accents like dashi shoyu, Awajishima salt, and peppercorn.

Dessert is also teppan-style. Their signature French toast (made with bread from their own bakery) is the classic choice, but you can also pick yogurt ice cream with muscat grapes from Awaji Island.

Opened in 2022, Teppan Mahoroba brings a personal, ingredient-first approach to teppanyaki — perfect if you want a straightforward Wagyu experience in the heart of Shinsaibashi.
