Ikebukuro-Niigata

We spent one night in Tokyo before heading to Niigata City. Fukuoka food is the best so we went to izakaya Hakata Gekijou Ikebukuro for motsunabe and gyoza.

Grilled nodoguro at izakaya Marutomisuisan by Niigata Station.

Kaisendon and grilled Kamasu at the Fish store, Furukawa Sengyo in Honchodori. The friendly obachan seen in pictures was there to show us what was fresh that day and take our order.

Ebi shoyu ramen and mabo nasu at Ebiju DELUX. If you enjoy shrimp flavor this is the place to go. Not just another ramen.

And because it's Niigata there was lots of nihonshu to drink.
