Lions Clubs on Vancouver’s North Shore sponsor the Japanese Youth Exchange Program where high school students from North Vancouver get to travel to Chiba, Japan, for a couple of weeks in the summer. The following year they get to host a group of students from Japan.
This video showcases some of the highlights of the Japanese students’ tour of the Lower Mainland in August of 2019. As you can see they went kayaking in Deep Cove and hiking at the Sea to Sky Gondola. They also went on a sea safari from Horseshoe Bay and spent a day at the Cultus Lake Adventure Park and Waterslide.
What an experience the Japanese students had in Vancouver! And what an adventure the North Vancouver students had in Japan!
