  1. Thank you for this, I am at 7 minutes in, I do have a question, will you post any videos on your Icelandic trip?
    Edit: video was amazing!!

  2. Great trip. It's great you doing this trip, using a bus and two train. Before you taking the First Train, I'm just thinking, the First Train actually reached Milan but you prefer to get off at Bologna and take Second Train to Zurich from there, but after you take the second train, I know the reason and this is make sense. Maybe in the future it's great you are doing similar trip with the title: Visiting all of Microstate Nations in Europe.

  3. Sorry I really like being pendantic about this lol
San Marino isn't a member of the Schengen area; border checks are however not systematic as because access is only possible via Italy, and that it seems that it almost always had an open border with it, it's kind of a "de facto" Schengen member, without it being "de jure".
Still, good thing to remember about Schengen, it's not the abolition of borders, just systematic checks, as they may still happen as is provided in the law.
For switzerland, yep, customs often walk in because it seems that customs duties and rules are different in Switzerland…Still not exactly sure how. That's also why the border posts are still up for road users, particularly lorries!

Also, in the Stadler SMILE, is it just me, or is the moquette already looking really old for still fairly new units?
Also I guess the price of the train wasn't bad, it's just offset by the price of the meal you had! Holy Swiss prices! I hope the Cheese panini was good at least πŸ™‚

  4. Answer for the question at the end of the video may be long πŸ™‚ but i shortcut it.
2024 i made train trip from Bratislava to Tallin through Czech Repunlic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia.
2025 i made train trip from Bratislava to Athens thorugh Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria. From Bucharst i had roundtrip to Chisinau. And at fall 2025 roundtrip Helsinki – Rovaniemi. Most Inspirational are youtubers like you, it is very helfpul watching videos, collecting informtions. And on base these things is little bit easier plan my trips πŸ™‚ This year i have many plans, i dont know wich i choose first πŸ™‚
I wish you all the best in year 2026 and many beautiful trips.

  5. Nice picture of it as not many people realize that San Marino has a small but operational railway unlike say Iceland which has a bit of track and locomotives but is non operational.

  6. Bravo! Brings back memories, sort of. I was in Ticino and Italy this summer. I took the Frecciarossa, Florence to Milan and then Tilo to Locarno. Swiss trains have a distinct style as much as the Italian ones.

  7. It would be nice to see the giruno go on the high speed line to Milan. Making the train travel at its top speed for once.
Also: how far in advance did you book?
