If you’ve ever been to Tokyo’s Akihabara district, you’ll know it’s an incredible place filled with more awesome and geeky stuff than just about anywhere in the world. On January 24th, the heart of anime, manga, and video game culture in Japan will play host to The Warhammer Experience.

The Warhammer Experience is a brand new, one-day pop-up, showcasing what Warhammer’s all about, complete with activities for both people who’ve never experienced the Warhammer hobby, and established fans too.

Here’s what’s in store for beginners:
Paint your first Warhammer model, and take it away with you.
Play your first games, and see how fun Warhammer can be.
Discover the lore through cinematic animations.
On top of all that, you can also earn an awesome collectible badge: the Amulet of Sigmar or the Astartes Crest. These gorgeous collectors’ badges are made up of five parts, each earned for completing a different activity – and the whole thing magnetises together beautifully.
For existing hobbyists, you can join in a casual organised play event for Warhammer 40,000 Combat Patrol or Warhammer Age of Sigmar Spearhead, with chances for recognition of sportsmanship, gameplay, and painting. Taking part gets you the complete collector’s badge for that game system. Check it out:

All this is happening on Saturday 24th January 2026, and you’ll find it here: 〒101-0021 Tokyo, Chiyoda City, Sotokanda, 3−12−8 1F
You can walk by on the day and join in from 10am to 6pm. Those taking part in the Combat Patrol and Spearhead open play event will be starting a little earlier – 8am check in for an 8:30am start – and you’ll need to register for free ahead of time at the link below. Taking part in the open play event means you’ll get a chance to see the experience before the rest of the crowd!
