Venture into the snowy fields at night, lantern in hand, heading to Endo Farm’s snow-buried cabbage field. A night hike across snow plains illuminated by starlight and moonlight promises to be an unforgettable experience. We’ll tailor the night hike to match participants’ fitness levels. Necessary equipment such as snowshoes will be provided as needed.
Dinner Features Snow-Buried Cabbage “Oden” – Toast with Local Wine and Sake!
The dinner starring your freshly harvested cabbage is “oden,” a classic Japanese winter comfort food. Made abundantly with overwintered vegetables and featuring handmade Kamifurano pork sausage by the owner-chef of Pension & Restaurant La Collina, the soup is absolutely exquisite. This hearty dish warms you from the inside out. Local wines and sake are also available.

“Yukimuro” (snow storage) is the wisdom of our ancestors in snowy regions. Learn directly from local farmers how vegetables transform under the snow and why they become sweeter.
Actual Harvesting Experience
