I Ate Peanut Noodles and Ice Cream in Japan’s Peanut Capital 🇯🇵🥜 (Chiba)

Today I’m in Chiba, Japan’s unofficial peanut capital, trying two peanut dishes I never expected to find here — peanut noodles and peanut ice cream. 🥜🇯🇵

Chiba produces a huge amount of Japan’s peanuts, so it makes sense the local food scene goes heavy on peanut flavours… but I wasn’t prepared for how good both of these would be. The noodles were up to this point the best meal I’d had in Japan.

The peanut noodles were rich, nutty and a little spicy. The peanut ice cream was banging.
