Unique Watch Shop in Osaka Japan for Seiko Collectors!
is under this shelf. You can actually see drawers down here and you will definitely love. Try it around 380 ballpark. Good morning, good afternoon, good evening everyone. Welcome back in our channel. Matt Corner here and for this episode we are still roaming around Osaka, Japan. Our channel is starting to be deeply associated with watches and I’m happy about that to be honest with you. It is not a secret anymore that I am always open to suggestion or trying new things when it comes to this world. And in our Facebook group, you guys made a request about BB America and that’s what we are going to do. There are two stores right now of BB and the one that we are going to check for this episode. I’ll put the address on the description box down below. On top of that folks, if you want to see what are the watches or any items that we are encountering in real time, please follow me on Instagram. That’s where I am more active every time we travel. And on the other hand, our Facebook group is always open for sharing, not just for shops, but also your latest purchases. Even your collection, feel free to share it there. And don’t limit your imagination with just the horology world because anything that is related in our channel is open in that space. and links will be pinned in the comment section. The store opens at 11:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m. By the way, this is the place, folks. And don’t get confused because up in the second floor, it’s a CBD shop. And I am not sure if that is legal. But from my end here, if we are talking about the legal stuff, then we have vintage watch section here. And it’s clearly stated from Seikko, Gan Seiko, King Seiko, Rolex, Omega, Linen, Tag, Hoyer, IWC, Zenith or any everything in between will be present inside. Unfortunately, there’s a loud music going on, so there’s a good chance that we have to adjust our style in creating video inside, but I’ll try to do what I can. Let’s go. Upon entering the store, it totally gives you like a different era or a different world because tons of items inside from different years. And the cool part is even though they have a very tight and small space in here, they will give you a card where you can leave your bag so that you will have an ample amount of space in walking. Heat. Heat. I really needed to drag my attention back to the watches because of the items available here. Man, it’s just wild. I’m going to share them to you later, but for now, have a look at the Seikko Actus here. 21 jewels for 38,000 yen. So, that’s the average price of the timeke keepers here. So, 38k yen, that’s around $250. and in Philippine peso under 14,500. And this 1974 Seikko 5 actress that looks like a Monaco for 58,800 yen. And if you’re going to convert it to US dollars, right around 380 ballpark. And in Philippine peso, that’s roughly around 22,500. Unfortunately, there is a loud music here. I’m not sure if you’re hearing it or no. So, what we’re going to do is run a montage of all of the watches available here. I cannot help with whatever we are seeing right in front of us. This is a 1973 Seikko electronic, but still this is an automatic watch, I think. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it has a dated date complication. I really like the case. For the price, it’s around 37,000 yen, but its condition obviously you can consider this watch as an antique timekeeper already. So, that can be forgiven. All right, boys. So, we just got educated with their staff here, which I really love. By the way, just to make things clear, it’s powered by a battery inside. So, it kind of looks like So, it sounds like a hybrid watch. So, we can categorize it as a rare timekeeper. I would say it’s actually my first time even encountering this. We already know that this store has a good punch when it comes to the watches, but their real strength is under this shelf. You can actually see drawers down here. And you will definitely love this these pieces here. You guys already know that I’m not a fan of gold watches, but some items here are just changing my mind. Very classy 1980s vintage square non-date for 34,000 yen. More here hidden inside. I know the ladies are kind of missing out from time to time, but I’m really trying my best to showcase more for you girls. And you know, these are the samples that you can see. This is actually beautiful. Vintage 1970. They’re definitely flexing on their range here from the regular Seikko quartz up to the 1970s speed timers from Seikko 5 are present. Even Grand Seiko Highbeats fashion constant. We have this amazing Rolex Datejust from 70s. How much? 890,000 yen. If you’re wondering how much would that be in USD, that’s 5,800. And in Philippine peso, right under 350 USD, that’s the one on your right side. And on your left, 1966 Date Just original band for 616,000 yen. That is somewhere around 4,000 USD. And in PHP that’s roughly around 235,000. Lucky enough for us to see some shades of Lonzene, IWC, Zeni, I know Omega at the back with a bit of modern touch at the far left the frame. And I’m not sure if I’m focusing it correctly. Let me adjust it. No. Oh, there you go. For $320,000. Most of them are naked watches. I just saw one or two with tags that says they have boxes, but you know that’s already given because these are like antique watches already. If you are kind of leaning towards the traditional C masters, of course, from Omega, they have on they have one here for 360,000 yen. So if you convert that to US dollars, that’s around 2,300 and in Philippine peso playing around 140 PHP. And down here, this is a cool looking gold Seikko 5 from 1978. And you can take this one home for 49,000 yen. If you will convert that to USD, that’s a very inviting $320. And in Philippine peso, roughly around 19,000 below. Definitely tag Hoyers will make a presence in this store especially in the vintage level from 1980s 1990s price range around 48,000 up to 69,000 yen out of nowhere there is a credor up here from 1996 for 103,000 yen so in US dollars that’s 670 and in Philippine peso roughly around 39,000 to 40,000 PHP and still it has a complete package with the box. It’s quite obvious that this BB Americor is more than a watch place because you can actually see some mazinger sees right here. random robots, toys, and I did not even expect to see a built tama in here. Man, it’s quite cool to see this stuff because it really reminds me of my childhood back then. Heat. Hey. Hey. Hey. Here is my honest take with this BB Americor. Initially we are just seeking for you know a vintage timekeeper experience and in the end it became more of a time machine. I am not prepared to see those toys, lighters, signages, games that will definitely remind of your childhood. That’s why it ended up as a blast from the past episode. Well, at least from my experience here. Going back to the main point, the watches, they are quite amazing. From shelf to drawers, obviously they are serious. You just really have to throw extra effort in checking those timekeepers because in terms of condition, you have to be more forgiving cuz of course those are antiques already. For the price point, I’m not that confident because I’ve seen cheaper prices before. However, what makes it more interesting is their customer service. They’re quite attentive, especially in the watch section. They’ll even help and explain what’s in front. Do I suggest this place? Absolutely. Yes, because more than what you saw in this store, there are other shops that you can definitely check and you will love, especially if you are a vintage hunter. And don’t limit yourself with those wrist pieces because tons of clothes are in this area. Kansai has a rhythm that moves between the street-level chaos of Osaka and the quiet, deliberate beauty of Kyoto. It’s a place where neon reflections bounce off alleyway puddles, where history hums softly behind wooden doors. Where time, in all its forms, is taken very seriously. This trip lives right in that space. Between cities. Between past and present. Between brand-new watches still wrapped in promise and secondhand pieces carrying decades of stories on their wrists.
In this video, we travel through Osaka and Kyoto, diving deep into Japan’s watch culture the way it’s meant to be experienced. On foot, unplanned, and a little obsessive. From modern Japanese watch retailers to hidden secondhand shops and thrift stores, this Kansai journey is about the hunt. Seiko, Citizen, Casio, and unexpected surprises. New releases sitting beside vintage finds. Prices that make sense. Pieces that don’t show up in glossy catalogs.
If you’ve searched for Kansai trip Japan, Osaka watch shopping, Kyoto watch stores, thrifting watches in Japan or Seiko Watch Shopping in general, secondhand watch shops Osaka, Kyoto vintage watches, Japan watch hunting 2025, Seiko Japan prices, or where to buy watches in Osaka and Kyoto, this video is exactly what you’re looking for. Kansai doesn’t sell watches the way the rest of the world does. It lets you discover them slowly, honestly, with a little luck and a lot of walking.
You’ll see what brand-new Japanese watches really cost in Osaka, Japan. You’ll see what kind of treasures hide in Kyoto’s quieter corners.
