Thank you for stopping by and welcome to the channel. In today’s video, we’ll be visiting the Peace Memorial Museum and Park and then going to Atomic Bomb Dome in Hiroshima, Japan, >> $2 each. Located at the epicenter of the 1945 atomic bombing, these landmarks serve not only as historical evidence, but also as symbols of peace and hope. We’re here at the beginning of the museum. They show you how life was before they dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Single atomic bomb indiscriminately killed tens of thousands of people, profoundly disrupting and altering the lives of the survivors. belongings left by the victims, a bomb artifacts, testimonies of a bomb survivors, and related materials. The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum conveys to the world the horrors and the inhumane nature of nuclear weapons and spreads the message of no more Hiroshima. So on August 6th, 1945, Little Boy was dropped on Hiroshima and 3 days later, Fat Man was dropped on Nagasaki. Over here on the outer wall, they have a picture of the devastation of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima. Here’s a 3D model of the atomic bomb dropping on Hiroshima before and after. Heat. Heat. The Hiroshima bomb unleashed a fireball. It’s approximately 7,000° C or 12,900° F. Now, this is hot enough to vaporize anything in its path, including buildings, people, and trees. The hypo center is the point of the Earth’s surface directly below the bomb’s detonation height. The temperature at the hypoenter is significantly hotter than the fireball temperature. According to reports, they believe the temperature at the hypo center was estimated at around 10,000° C or 18, 32° F. The thermal radius is the distance from the bomb’s epicenter where the temperature is still hot enough to cause significant damage. So they believe the Hiroshima bomb was approximately 1.8 km or 1.12 mi. This means that everything within this distance was exposed to temperatures over 7,000° C or 12,980° F. The atomic bomb destroyed 85% of the city of Hiroshima, killing approximately 160,000 people immediately and 135,000 buildings were damaged or destroyed. Bridge was covered. Here’s a view overlooking Peace Memorial Park with the atomic bomb dome in the background. >> The bomb on the right is Little Boy which they dropped on Hiroshima. That’s the two bombs they dropped. The atomic bomb dome, formerly the Hiroshima prefixual industrial promotion hall, was designed by Czech architect Jan Leel and was built in 1915. All right. Do you see this? Thank you. Heat. Well, this is the oldie structure left standing near the hypoenter of the first atomic bomb which exploded on August 6th, 1945 and it remains in the condition right after the explosion. Here we are passing the memorial tower dedicated to mobilized students. So, in this part of Hiroshima, you’re going to find a lot of tourists and school students on field trips. So, so my daughter and I are looking around the store for the items that she wanted. The one item she wanted was only sold at the Ginsza store in Tokyo, Japan. So, I knew this store didn’t have that one. Two chains. >> What’s the other one? How much? >> This one is 31. was barbecue sauce. Same as you. No onions. And then this is just a burger with the uh rice and then American chicken wings. So, we arrived back at our hotel and right beside our hotel is a 7-Eleven Famaki. 460 yen or 496 yen.
