Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed the signing of Japanese youth international Keita Kosugi from Danish outfit Djurgårdens IF. Terms of the transfer were not divulged, but the 19-year-old maintains an estimated €4m market value in the latest Transfermarkt listings. Kosugi is the second teenage talent to officially serve as a January 2026 transfer at the Bundesliga outfit. Both have come from Swedish clubs

Attacking midfielder Love Arrhov (17) is also heading to die Adler on a €4.5m transfer from Sweden’s Brommapojkarna. Eintracht had been pursuing Arrhov (along with a left back) last spring. Now Eintracht have both Arrhov and a new left-back. Kosugi has been excelling at the position throughout his young career. Kosogui is a former Japan U17 captain who has accrued some Conference League experience with his Swedish side.

Eintracht feel Kosugi is ready to contribute

“In Keita Kosugi, we have signed a young left-back who, in addition to his technical skills on the ball, also brings a high level of pace and work ethic to the table,” SGE sporting director Timmo Hardung noted in a club statement. “He has already proven his qualities as a regular player in the Swedish league and in the European Cup and has great potential for improvement.”
