HOKKAIDO (TR) – Hokkaido Prefectural Police plan to question an injured man who was present upon the discovery of the bodies of two women in a home in Sapporo City on Saturday, reports Nippon News Network (Dec. 14).
At around 7:00 p.m., a relative of the man alerted police to the home in Kawazoe, Minami Ward after not being able to get in touch with him.
Officers who responded to the scene discovered the bodies of an elderly woman and a middle-aged woman on the first floor of the home. Both bodies had external injuries.
The man, aged in his 50s, was also injured. He was taken to the hospital in a conscious state.
According to police, the three are believed to be family members. The front door and windows of the home were locked at the time of the discovery.
Police believe the man may have knowledge of what happened. They will wait until he recovers before questioning him.
