Seiko unveils King Seiko Vanac “Tokyo Horizon” with Urban Greenery and Urban Gardens variants
Design echoes 1970s Vanac aesthetics, featuring patterned dials, matching straps, and refined case architecture
Available for pre-order now via Seiko’s UK webstore

Seiko’s King Seiko lineage continues with the introduction of the Vanac “Tokyo Horizon” collection, a new chapter that pays homage to the distinctive aesthetic of the original 1970s Vanac line. The new release introduces two new variants to the line, Urban Greenery and Urban Gardens, each incorporating a patterned dial that evokes the expansive and urban architectural skyline of Tokyo.

Both pieces maintain the key characteristics that define the King Seiko series, with the new Vanac models notable for their seamless integration of aesthetics and wearability. Both the patterned dials are paired with matching leather straps that integrate smoothly with the case. Meanwhile, the overall case architecture and dial aesthetic draw directly from the recognizable style of the original 1970s Vanac collection, ensuring the preservation of the model’s classic identity while presenting a refined, modern interpretation.

At the heart of the two new “Tokyo Horizon” references are the new in-house 8L45 mechanical caliber. This movement embodies elevated Japanese watchmaking, offering robust performance with an accuracy of +10/–5 seconds and a practical three-day power reserve.

Both the King Seiko Vanac Urban Greenery and Urban Gardens watches are available for pre-order through Seiko’s UK website, priced at £2,800 GBP (approx. $3,726 USD) with deliveries to commence in January.
