Ritsurin Garden is the largest daimyo (feudal lord's) garden in Japan, recognized globally (Three Stars in the Michelin Green Guide Japan in 2009).
Designated as a Special Place of Scenic Beauty, this garden is famed for its "Ippo Ikkei" (a new view with every step) aesthetic, featuring six ponds and thirteen man-made hills set against the backdrop of Mount Shiun.
