Kagoshima & Fukuoka Food Journey | Our Last Days in Japan

[Music] Good morning everyone. Good morning. So, we just had a a late breakfast in the hotel. And as you guys maybe can see, this time we rely our daily supply more on the local supermarket. Compared to last time, we always go to company, the convenience stores and such to get our drinks and our food. But this time, we go to the local supermarket, get the good deals. Yeah. And I mostly eat my cereals in the morning, some milk and sh like a bread or or mochi. Yeah. We’re back in Kagoshima now, the city with the volcano on the other side, the Sakurajima where we have been like last week already. Um we arrived yesterday from the ferry from Yakushima Island and didn’t do much yesterday. We just walked around a little bit. Um ate something and now it’s our last day in Kagoshima. We are going to a shrine now and then we walked to observation deck and tomorrow we are heading to Fukuoka our last city where we have been already where we arrived at the beginning 2 weeks ago. So from now on we will not do much anymore since we saw everything what we wanted to see and we do some shopping now take it easy relax in every hotel we have onen so we will use that for sure every day at least once. Very good. We will relax a little bit more. See you later. Have a good start. [Music] [Music] It’s actually okay, right? Oh, could be a bit colder. [Music] Oh, it feels really good. [Music] So after 20 minute hike and a lot of sweat, we arrived the observatory platform. We all could have nice views on the volcano, but it was a bit cloudy and we got better shots at the beginning of the trip. So yeah, it was nice for free. [Music] I think I need to do this. [Music] So guys, what a good lunch. I just lunch at the Yakiniko place from Bagyu beef according to their sign and it was only €27. Mhm. Um, two lunch menus like setto and I order one more time meat because um, yeah, I was hungry for the meat and it was very good. Yeah. And I think that’s really cool because the yakiniku this kind of barbecue place people will be sensitive with the smell after using it. So in the toilet there is mouthwash. There is also kind of spray to remove the smell on your clothes and hair and body and such. So sensitive consider it. Very good lunch. Let’s continue shopping now. Just start. Actually [Music] everything. [Music] [Music] We started with one suitcase. Now it’s like one suitcase, two bags, two backpacks full of stuff. There’s really nothing can get in anymore. This thing is full. We bought so many stuff. At least second pair of shoes, free jacket, couple of sweaters, shirts, [Music] [Music] So hello everyone. Guys, we just ate for lunch in Hakata station and Fukoka in a very bad organized isakaya. We order no alcohol drinks, but somehow they put alcoholic in liquor in the drinks. Boy, so it’s a bit funny now to walk around. We go for shopping now and we dropped our luggage already in the hotel. It’s 3:10 p.m. and I have had to finish Sher’s drink because she got red already. And stop it. Get some help. So, we go. Let’s go. [Music] I’m drowning. I’m finding the worst in you. Falling, drowning. I’m losing the best of you. I’m drowning. I’m falling. [Music] Drowning. I’m finding the worst in you. Falling. Drowning. I’m losing the best of you. I’m drowning. I’m falling. [Music] [Music] So finally it’s evening. We checked in our room. We had um nice dinner. We ate yaki niku vagu beef again like yesterday. Now we are going to do some onen in our hotel to relax a little bit. It’s almost 10:00 now in the evening. Perfect way to finish the day. And yeah, we didn’t do much basically. I mean, we did a lot, but not much footage today because we went mostly shopping. We even went to a secondhand store to buy a new suitcase and one new bag. We have two big backpacks are also full. Full and we need even more space now. So, yeah, with a lot of shopping. Yeah, as said, it’s time for on now. [Applause] [Music] That was good, man. [Applause] [Music] That’s so [Music] heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Hello everyone from Difu. It’s about an 40minut bus ride with with a lot of congestion. Yeah. And and took us 1 hour to come here and uh it’s big temple area I would say uh the temple for learning and studying. And now we just bought freshly made um mochi. Mochi. Exactly. And we will discover that area a little bit. Well, it’s very crowded. There a lot of student groups, Korean tourist groups, Chinese tourist groups. So, and this thing is hot, I guess. Yeah. The main shrine are even trees and bushes. Here’s [Music] another massive tree was I don’t know maybe like 6 7 m wide. [Music] [Music] Yeah, we left the zifu and went shopping again. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] So guys, it’s our last evening in uh Japan and we will have now um um dinner. That’s sushi where the chef decides what we want to eat. Last time we wanted to do that in 2023, but we didn’t do the reservation. That’s why we didn’t get any place. But this time we did the reservation two months ago. Ha. Let’s see. [Music] So we just finished our um Kaza. Wow. This is not the traditional that kind. We kind of pick a beginner foreigner friendly kind. So the type is kind of like they have the first few courses and once you finish those and then it’s all you can eat. So I didn’t count how many pieces have we eaten. Maybe 20 per person around uh what we ordered plus the course before. The course before was I don’t know maybe six eight seven eight things and um it was very delicious. It was totally different compared to what we had before. It cost us together with the drinks €18. Mhm. Which is um kind of okay for what we got. €50 per person. Um because I got served by um the chef and um and in the closed room was only six seats um available. I think it was eight but only like three groups of two people couples each. Yes. So and um Yeah. So we had our own chef for us and we just ordered and then he made it. Um was very delicious. Mhm. I think what wins from other sushi place is the freshness of the ingredients like ika ikura or what and then Yeah. And chtoro ankami. So many different types of fish. Yes. And they’re just so fresh and melt into your mouth directly like it never exists. Mhm. And we also ordered a couple of times Vaku beef there. They they’ve um killed it on the flame. Yeah. So it was good. And they use very few um rice. Mhm. For the fish. Um compared to a normal sushi place, I would say where you have a lot of good amount of rice with the sushi. And we’re like I’m really beginnerish. At the beginning I was like, “Oh, where is my show you where can I put my soy sauce?” But no, the the chef Hey, put the right amount of the vinegar, the lemon juice, the salt, and then put the soy sauce on your sushi and then give it to you as it’s the most perfect. So, we really we really enjoyed it. So, it’s uh 10 10:15 now. Mhm. 90 minutes later, and we will go home now. Mhm. So, good night and see you tomorrow. And of course, before we go to bed, we go to Onen. Sherry went already. I go now. So, really now. See you tomorrow. I remember the days all those years ago that never fade away. Little overload of colors. And I remember your face when you hit the ground. I can recall the time and place. [Music] The days of old. Back to the days when all the things we knew were made of gold. As the world moves on, time sings a song in the old neighborhood. As the clock strikes one, it’s just as it stood like a quiet shadows of that town beneath the street like as the world sings. [Music] Nobody win. As the days go along, you can remember their song. I remember the days. Looking back, I can’t see clearly. And then it was time to say goodbye. Our trip to Japan ended and we went back home to Germany. Thanks for watching. [Laughter] [Music]
