An evening with Monocle and Conrad Osaka

Monocle and Conrad Hotels & Resorts welcomed guests for a special gathering at Conrad Osaka to celebrate our recent partnership and the hotel’s signature 1/3/5 programme. Set on the 40th floor with panoramic city views, it was an event devoted to time-conscious travel and local experiences.

Monocle’s Tokyo bureau chief, Fiona Wilson, and Japan correspondent, Ben Davis, introduced the crowd to the hotel’s approach to time well spent: tailored itineraries that help visitors to make the most of one, three or five hours in the city. From architectural spas to culinary stop-offs, each plan puts Osaka’s ingenuity centre stage – a theme explored in depth in our recent partnership.

To further immerse guests in the spirit of 1/3/5, Conrad Osaka invited several of its local collaborators to take part. Samurai Jeans shared its selvedge denim know-how, while artisans from Sakai Dyeing Company showcased indigo-dyed textiles rooted in centuries-old craft. Meanwhile, the team from Gucci Giardino Osaka mixed vibrant cocktails inspired by local flavours, ensuring that glasses were raised long after dark.
