Japanese lifestyle brand Human Made has been listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market, signalling a major step in the company’s domestic and international growth strategy.
Founded by designer Nigo in 2010, Human Made is renowned for its streetwear designs and has steadily expanded its footprint both in Japan and overseas.
The brand currently operates seven stores across Japan, with additional locations in China, Hong Kong, and South Korea, as well as partnerships with local distributors in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia.
Beyond fashion, Human Made is active in the food and beverage sector through its Curry Up restaurant chain, which opened its first overseas location in Hong Kong last year.
In January last year, the company announced that global music and fashion icon Pharrell Williams joined as a creative adviser, further strengthening its global creative direction. In May, the company rebranded from Otsumo Co to Human Made Inc, aligning its corporate identity with its flagship lifestyle brand.
Looking ahead, Human Made plans to open its first global flagship store in Harajuku in summer 2026, followed by a second location in Aoyama in 2027, highlighting its commitment to immersive retail experiences.
