Developer and publisher Armonica LLC has announced that its mystery adventure visual novel, Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved, is now Steam Deck verified.
This means that, besides simply being functional, the titles ideally work immediately when launched on the device and are optimized.
Additionally, the developer has confirmed that, while sales numbers have not been unveiled, the title has been selling more units in Japan than in any other country. Translator and editor Toku is heavily credited for their contributions towards this Japanese success.

About Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved
The story follows the brutal murder of a man in a hotel, with a woman traveling on a cross-country train disappearing, seemingly without a trace. Only the protagonist remembers this woman existing, leaving it up to you to solve the mystery surrounding her.
To accomplish this feat, players will interrogate witnesses to uncover the full extent of a particular conspiracy. Plenty of unique interactions and optional dialogue are also present for those who take their time perusing all the game has to offer.
Detective Instinct: Farewell, My BelovedĀ is explicitly modeled after classic adventure games from Japan. Further, it is āinspired by hard-boiled crime fiction, classic cinema, and other classic adventure (ADV) games.ā The presentation combines 2D pixel art portraits and old-school prerendered 3D backgrounds. Additionally, the original soundtrack will feature a diverse range of music, including jazz and orchestral pieces.
Detective Instinct: Farewell, My BelovedĀ is available on Nintendo Switch and PC viaĀ Steam.
