This video is about how to visit the abandoned Japanese Mining Island known as Gunkanjima / Hashima Island in 2025. The Island is situated 30 minutes by boat from Nagasaki Port in Kyushu, Japan. Gunkanjima means ‘Battleship Island’, a name given due to the Island’s resemblance when viewed from the side. The video shows you details of one of the companies that provides tours of the island, Yamasa Shipping Co.. I explain how to book using their website plus where to go to pay for the tour and to board the vessel on the day of your tour. I also explain what the tour consists of when you reach the island. There are a number of tour companies that provide this service. I chose Yamasa Shipping Co. as they provide an English speaking guide on certain days of the week which, to me, really makes a difference when exploring such a place. I hope that this video helps you to make a decision.
