Japan vlog | ភាគ៤: ជិះរថភ្លើងល្បឿនលឿន Shinkansen ពីតូក្យូទៅក្យូតូ និង Fushimi Inari, ប្រទេសជប៉ុន 🇯🇵

Hello and welcome to my Japan travel vlog! Today I’ll be heading out from Tokyo to Kyoto by riding the Shinkansen bullet train. In this video, I’ll share my Shinkansen travel experience, seat selection, and online ticket booking. I’ll also show you places to explore in Kyoto, photos I captured, and the food I tried. Without further ado, let’s watch the video together. Now I’ve arrived at the Shinkansen ticket machines. You can buy tickets here or line up at the counters, but since I already booked mine online, I’m just here to pick it up. Later I’ll explain the benefits of booking in advance, so stay tuned. After picking up my ticket, I grabbed a Bento Box and some Tokyo Banana to enjoy on the train since eating is allowed onboard. Here’s the train schedule board, available in both Japanese and English, which makes it easy to find the right platform. Now we’re heading down to wait at our platform. This is actually my first time seeing someone restock a vending machine! Shinagawa Station is smaller and easier to navigate compared to Tokyo Station, so finding the platform isn’t too difficult. Above, there’s train information displayed in English helpful for checking train names, train numbers, departure times, and destinations. Just match it with the details on your ticket. Small tip: Your ticket also shows the car number. Make sure to wait at the spot that matches your car number so boarding is smoother and you don’t miss the train. We’re now onboard! The ride from Tokyo to Kyoto with Shinkansen takes only about two hours. We chose 2nd Class tickets since it’s a short trip and more budget-friendly. The legroom is decent, though there is no foot rest as on the First Class. There’s a pretty big tray in front of the seat. We booked seats with oversized baggage area, so we could store our luggages behind the seats. If you didn’t reserve, you can still place luggage in designated areas or on the overhead racks. Another perk of booking online: you can get discounts if you reserve at least 21 days in advance. I saved about $10 per ticket this way. Another fact: book seats on the right-hand side when traveling Tokyo → Kyoto, and on the left-hand side when going Kyoto → Tokyo. ,if you want to see Mount Fuji. After two hours, we arrived at Kyoto Station. From there, we took the Metro to our hotel in Gion. I really love the vibe here, calm, beautiful, and peaceful, unlike the busy atmosphere of Tokyo. It feels a bit like the difference between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh back home. We followed Google Maps down a small street to reach our hotel. There is a bigger and more beautiful street, but we just followed Google Maps instead. We have arrived the hotel we booked. Room tour: It even comes with a washing machine, drying area, microwave, an d stove. The room here is more spacious than in Tokyo and also more affordable. Since single-bed rooms were sold out, we booked a twin instead. After resting, we headed out to one of Kyoto’s most famous spots: Fushimi Inari Shrine. Want to know more about Fushimi Inari Shrine, stay tuned in this video. From Fushimi Inari Station, it’s just a short walk to the shrine. A long the way, there are shops selling souvenirs and street food. The massive Tower Gate welcomes you at the entrance to Fushimi Inari Shrine, followed by the Fushimi Inari Taisha Honden, the main worship hall. Heading left, you’ll find stairs leading up to the Senbon Torii (Thousand Torii Gates) rows of striking red gates climbing up Mount Inari. The views outside the torii are also beautiful in their own way. Small tip: For the best photos without crowds, come early in the morning or hike further up, where fewer people go. Since it was crowded, we detoured along a dirt path before rejoining the torii trail. Now we are back at the torii trail. The higher we climbed, the quieter it got perfect for photos with torii gate. We eventually reached a small pond with more shrines. Another tip: Bring water with you or buy it before climbing, since it’s more expensive at the top. After exploring, we headed back down and returned to Kyoto. Since it was already late, we didn’t visit many more places. After returning from Fushimi Inari Shrine, we stopped by the Pokémon Center Kyoto, had a spicy chicken ramen nearby, and tried some sweets and matcha before heading back to the hotel.
