A massive new flagship store dedicated to the world of One Piece is set to open its doors in Tokyo, taking over the entire 4th floor of the Shinjuku Marui Main Building.
The “ONE PIECE BASE SHOP” is designed as an “experiential retail facility” rather than a traditional store, featuring a deep blue interior inspired by the ocean abyss to evoke the feeling of a giant ship setting sail.
Visitors are treated as “adventurers” and can use shopping baskets shaped like the Thousand Sunny to hunt for their own “great treasure” among the shelves.
The store will launch with a massive inventory of approximately 800 items covering the manga, anime, and live-action series, with about 500 of these products being original items developed specifically for this location.
In addition to shopping, the store features several interactive experiences, including the following:
“ONE PIECE ORIGINAL T-SHIRT PRINT”
Allows customers to print T-shirts on the spot using over 400 different character designs.
“ONE PIECE DECORATION STAND”
A workshop area where fans can combine cute parts to create their own original items.
“ONE PIECE PLAY GROVE”
An amusement zone featuring crane games and a giant Gashapon machine inspired by the Sabaody Archipelago.
This opening adds to a huge month for the franchise, as the shop will serve as the advance release location for the “ONE PIECE x NBA MASTER STARS PIECE THE MONKEY.D.LUFFY” figures on opening day.
Other recent franchise announcements include an official watch collection based on every member of the Straw Hat Crew and a high-end “Portrait.Of.Pirates” figure of Nico Robin based on her appearance in the Egghead Arc.
The “ONE PIECE BASE SHOP” is scheduled to Grand Open on Friday, December 5, 2025.
For the immediate future, entry will be restricted to a lottery reservation system via the “ONE PIECE BASE” mobile app to manage crowding.
