The Okinawa Japan trip is divided into six episodes, and the third episode will introduce the sightseeing bus. If you’re traveling independently without a car, and want to go somewhere a bit further, you can consider a one-day tour. The bus tour I joined this time gathered in front of the Prefectural Citizens Plaza. Once on the bus, you’ll receive an audio guide and promotional material for the attractions, as well as a sticker to wear for the convenience of the tour guide. This time, I bought the tour in advance on Klook, which cost about 1300 Taiwan dollars per person. Prices may vary depending on when you purchase. This price does not include the entrance ticket to the Churaumi Aquarium, so remember to prepare cash and buy the ticket from the tour guide. For the audio guide, you can choose your own language. During the journey, the tour guide will remind you when there is an audio introduction, so you can pick it up and listen. Also, this device cannot be taken off the bus. Our first stop is Nago Pineapple Park, which is a pineapple and tropical fruit plant theme park. The admission ticket is already included in the sightseeing bus package, so we can go straight in. The first thing is to take the automatic pineapple car, which will take you on a tour of the park, to see the pineapples. A fully English introduction is also played. The park has many different varieties of pineapples. The pineapple season is usually from June to August, so you can barely see any whole pineapples here. There is a path above, which you can walk and visit later. Here, they also grow pineapples from all over the world, and the number of potted plants is quite impressive. Here are some pineapples grown in the ground. After about 10 minutes, the automatic car reaches the end. After getting off, you can take your time to stroll around. Both sides are also surrounded by pineapples. Up ahead is the first cafe, which sells pineapple shaved ice and pineapple juice. Further ahead is the Flamingo Garden, with some beautiful flamingo flowers in bloom. Now we arrive at the aerial walkway. Both sides of the walkway are filled with abundant tropical plants, completely surrounded by green plants, making it quite comfortable to walk around. Further ahead are the botanical garden and the dinosaur adventure. The botanical garden has an outdoor photo area. There’s a collection of ornamental plants, and you can also see photo setups carefully created by the park. Next, we arrived at the Dinosaur Adventure. After entering here, you can see many lifelike dinosaurs. When they sense you approaching, they start moving and making sounds. Further ahead is a large and small *Jing* Dragon, and next to it is a newly hatched dinosaur baby. The Pterosaur’s eyes even change. Here are small and large Tyrannosaurus Rexes, which even blink; they are incredibly detailed. There are also dinosaur eggs for photos. Further back there is a Dilophosaurus, and this one is a Spinosaurus. This Tyrannosaurus Rex is even more lively than the previous one; it even swings its tail. Here is the dinosaur band playing the Pineapple Park theme song. The cute, cartoon-style dinosaurs look super comical. Moving inside, there are some small dinosaur poses, and also some fossil. There is a photo area set up ahead, so you can take pictures with many dinosaurs at once! Next, we will arrive at another sales area, where the main product is pineapple popsicles, made from a whole block of pineapple. There are also commemorative badges available for purchase, with different prices for different designs. Inside is a souvenir shop with pineapple gifts. The shop has various candies and cookies products, some combined with chocolate, and these sandwiched cookies are also pineapple flavored. These souvenirs, accessories, and merchandise are only available here. They have pineapple volcanic mud soap, and also tropical fruit scented candles. Next to them are embroidered towels, masks, accessories, and some novelty charms. There are also hair ties and small pouches. Here, many of the merchandise items are very thoughtful. Small patterned bags, hats, shoes, umbrellas, pants, shirts, handkerchiefs, and tote bags. There are tops that combine the Shisa lion-dog with pineapple, available in both adult and children’s styles. Even the stairs have pineapple patterns. Next, we are heading to the pineapple processing factory. Next to it, they have some of their processed foods on display. This is the Winery Museum, where they play a video introducing how they make wine. Next to it, you can see what the pineapple park looked like in the past. In the back are the machines they use for production. This is the Pineapple Winery, where they sell red wine brewed from Okinawan pineapples, including sweet and spicy flavors. There is also *Meishu*, which is a fruit wine blend of grape wine and pineapple wine. They have champagne and sparkling wine here. The canned drinks are pineapple juice. Next to them, they also have dried mango and mixed dried fruits, and also concentrated pineapple juice, which can be diluted with water before drinking, or used in cooking. They sell some seasonings, sauces, etc., as well as other textiles, pudding mix, dried fruit, and also whole fresh pineapples and pineapple seedlings. Outside, there are a few shops where you can take a break. That concludes the tour of Nago Pineapple Park. I think this is a place more suitable for families with children, where kids can have a lot of fun. Our next stop is Kouri Island. Up ahead is the Kouri Great Bridge, which is the only way to get to Kouri Island. You can see a beautiful sea view next to it. Kouri Island is the Island of the Gods, the origin of the Ryukyu mythology, and a sacred place for couples, the Island of Love. There are many unspoiled beaches here, and the scenery is absolutely beautiful. You can purchase water activities on site, such as banana boats, jet skis, etc. There are many people playing in the water at the beach ahead, and there are washing facilities provided nearby. The seawater at Kouri Beach is very clear, paired with the pure white sand, it is incredibly beautiful. Also, the seawater at Kouri Beach is very clear, paired with the pure white sand, it is incredibly beautiful. while enjoying the cross-sea bridge. There is a store here that specializes in all kinds of souvenirs and food items. There are also restaurants and snacks nearby, where you can rest and eat in the seating area. Next, let’s look at the shop. Upon entering, on the right side are agricultural products, including some ingredients, meal kits, seasonings, and seaweed udon noodles. There are limited-edition souvenirs here, such as Okinawa soba, sea salt, garlic sprouts, wakame seaweed, and more. The selection of brown sugar is also very rich. Here they have tofu seasoning and sea salt, and there is a massive variety of sea salt products. Next to them are souvenir boxes, and Okinawa souvenir T-shirts. The freezer section has drinks and ice cream, including two Kouri Island limited flavors: brown sugar and sweet potato ice cream. The brown sugar one is not too sweet, and you can taste the brown sugar aroma in the rich milk ice cream. Due to the tour schedule, the stopover time at Kouri Island was very short, which is a shame. If you like our video, remember to subscribe, like it, and you are welcome to leave a comment, share the video with your family, friends, and most importantly, your travel companions. Next, our next stop is the Churaumi Aquarium. The Churaumi Aquarium is one of the facilities within the Ocean Expo Park. It takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk from the parking lot. There are also shuttle buses available in the park. The Ocean Expo Park also has an observatory, botanical garden, tropical center, a beach, and more. On this tour, you can also choose not to visit the aquarium and are free to walk around other areas of the park. In addition to the main building, the Churaumi Aquarium also has the Dolphin Lagoon, Manatee House, and Sea Turtle Pool. We will visit all of them later. We have finally arrived, and there are so many visitors here. The aquarium ticket’s original price is 2,180 Japanese Yen. If you buy it from the tour guide on the bus, it’s 100 Yen. You can enter by scanning your ticket, and you have unlimited free entry and exit on the day. First, you will see small creatures that live in the coral reefs, such as starfish, sea cucumbers, and small fish. This is the Sea of Coral, which has no roof, allowing natural sunlight to shine in. Referencing the actual marine environment, it cultivates a rich landscape with over 80 species of coral. Further ahead is the Sea of Tropical Fish, which showcases the coral reef environment around Okinawa, including sandy areas, shallows, rocks, and caves, where many tropical fish live. All the fish are swimming back and forth, only this one is staying on the ground, looking around with its eyes, I wonder what it’s looking at. After seeing the explanation next to it, I realized it is already 20 years old, and truly huge. Next, we will come to the Coral Gallery, which mainly displays dangerous creatures of the coral reef. This is the Habu Box Jellyfish, whose tentacles have many stinging cells. Being stung causes severe pain, and in serious cases, can lead to shock and death. This is a model of a venomous Gyokuro sea snail. Next to it are specimens of some sea snakes and other creatures, all of which are highly venomous species in the sea. An accidental bite or sting can be extremely dangerous. You really need to be careful when engaging in water activities. Here there are a total of 30 tanks, I’ll introduce a few to everyone. This area is for introducing various organisms that inhabit the coral reef. This is the Red Tooth Triggerfish, named because it has a red tooth. This is the Tiger-Striped Cuttlefish, named because of the tiger stripes on its back. There are also many small jellyfish. This is the Spotted Garden Eel, which usually lives in groups on the sandy bottom outside the coral reef. Eels, which usually lives in groups on the sandy bottom outside the coral reef. The next area is the Kuroshio Sea, where you can see the world’s largest species of ray, the Manta Ray, and the main attraction, the Whale Shark. Churaumi is the world’s first aquarium to successfully keep whale sharks long-term, having kept them for 29 years. The whale shark has a total length of 8.8 meters, making it the largest fish in the world. There are also whale shark feeding shows every day at 3 PM and 5 PM, which you can enjoy. There is also an exhibition of the acrylic panel used for the aquarium tank, which is up to 60 centimeters thick. Next to it is the Shark Research Lab, which displays information and specimens about shark breeding, and there are six species of sharks that can be viewed here. Up ahead is the Ocean Viewing Room. Besides various rays, you can also appreciate the whale shark from underneath, giving you an even greater sense of its immense size. It is very spectacular. The Giant Squid is the largest squid that lives in the deep-sea areas of the world. This specimen was found alive in 1994 off the coast of Okinawa at a depth of 500 meters. This is a Goblin Shark, which mainly inhabits the deep sea at depths from 300 meters to 1,000 meters. This specimen is 2.2 meters long and was caught in Shizuoka Prefecture in 2016. This specimen is 2.2 meters long and was caught in Shizuoka Prefecture in 2016. The next area introduces creatures living in the deep sea, most of which were collected off the coast of Okinawa, at depths below 200 meters. There are also fish whose eyes and bodies emit fluorescent light, which is incredibly unique. After touring the aquarium, we will head to the souvenir shop. We will also introduce the other three facilities later. There is a free photo opportunity nearby, where you can take a picture with the whale shark display here to commemorate your visit. Now we have arrived at the souvenir shop. The variety of products is very rich. These are whale shark teeth, available in many shapes. There are plush Manta Rays, and the outer layer is made of velvet material. There are also large squids, whose surface also feels fuzzy. There are many other types of marine life to choose from, including the most popular whale shark. The sea turtle plushie here has a bell inside. The manatee holding food in the back is also very cute. Here are the larger-sized plushies, including sharks, rays, and sea turtles. There are also jellyfish, clownfish, and spotted garden eels. Small items like keychains also come in many designs. Here are some toys and building blocks. This is a stamp book, which should be used for collecting stamps. Next to it, there are many small jars containing miniature marine creatures. Here are some stationery items, such as erasers, pencil cases, washi tape, and more. The notepad inner pages are beautifully designed, and there are also shaped bookmarks. This is that 20-year-old large fish. There are many patterned folders. Next to them is a wall full of plush keychains. You can find almost all marine creatures here, and some even come in different designs and styles. As for daily necessities, there are slippers, canvas bags, and so on. Next, we are going to the Dolphin Lagoon, which you get to by going down two escalators behind the aquarium. The dolphin show is free of charge, but remember to check the showtime and come early to get a better viewing spot. This time, due to the bus tour schedule, I wasn’t able to sit in the front for the show. The entire dolphin show is about 20 minutes long, where you can see False Killer Whales and Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphins perform a wonderful show. Next is the Manatee House, which is also free of charge. Here you can see a few manatees swimming and eating, and you can observe their underwater activities. Next to it, there is also an exhibition of a manatee skeleton. Next to that is the Sea Turtle Pool, where Hawksbill Sea Turtles, Loggerhead Sea Turtles, Green Sea Turtles, Olive Ridley Sea Turtles, and Black Sea Turtles are kept. There is also an area set up for them to lay eggs. Every year, sea turtles come ashore to lay eggs. Finally, we arrive at Okashi Goten, which sells many souvenirs. I will provide a detailed introduction to Okinawan souvenirs in a later video. There is also a dinosaur theme park here, with up to 80 types of dinosaur models, where you can explore in a forest setting, and there’s a souvenir shop with dinosaur merchandise. The third episode of the video concludes here. In the next episode, we will take everyone back to Naha City, introduce attractions around the city, and stroll through the busiest Kokusai Street. Remember to subscribe and turn on the small bell to stay tuned for the latest video release time!
